- Use Porta only on systems you own or are authorized to access.
- Review commands, AI output, automations, transfers, and tunnels before execution.
- Do not reverse engineer, copy, or submit Porta proprietary materials to AI systems without authorization.
- You remain responsible for credentials, remote systems, backups, and third-party services you configure.
- Paid terms shown by Apple, Google, and the checkout screen also apply to Pro purchases.
1. Agreement and scope
By downloading, accessing, or using Porta, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Porta or create a Porta account. The app-store terms, open-source licenses, provider terms, purchase disclosures, and any enterprise agreement that applies to a feature also remain in effect.
If you use Porta for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. “You” then includes that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering this agreement or have valid permission from a parent, guardian, or authorized organization. Porta is not directed to children.
Free features can be used without a Porta account. If account services are available, you must provide accurate information, keep linked provider access secure, and promptly update or remove information that is no longer valid. You may not transfer, rent, or sell an account or impersonate another person or entity.
3. License to use Porta
Subject to these Terms and applicable open-source licenses, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Porta for lawful personal or internal business purposes.
You may inspect, modify, or redistribute portions that are separately offered under an open-source license only as that license permits. These Terms do not take away rights granted by an applicable open-source license.
Except under an applicable open-source license, with our prior written authorization, or where applicable law does not permit the restriction, you may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, defeat technical protections, derive source code from, or reconstruct Porta proprietary code, binaries, interface assets, or documentation.
You may not submit, upload, disclose, or expose Porta proprietary materials to an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system, large language model, coding assistant, autonomous agent, retrieval system, or training pipeline for unauthorized analysis, extraction, reproduction, training, fine-tuning, distillation, or creation of a derivative, competing, or substantially similar implementation.
These restrictions do not apply to your own content, separately licensed third-party components, work expressly authorized in writing within a controlled environment, or interoperability, security-research, and other rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or waive.
4. Authorized use
Porta is a powerful infrastructure tool. You must use it only for systems, accounts, networks, projects, and data that you own, administer, or have explicit authorization to access.
- Do not gain or attempt unauthorized access, bypass technical controls, intercept traffic without authority, or exceed granted privileges.
- Do not deploy malware, destructive payloads, credential theft, denial-of-service activity, spam, unlawful scanning, or exploit code against targets without authorization.
- Do not use Porta to violate privacy, intellectual-property, export-control, sanctions, employment, consumer, or computer-misuse laws.
- Do not misrepresent Porta, interfere with its services, abuse account or purchase systems, or use automated requests in a way that harms availability or security.
5. Remote systems and actions
Porta acts on instructions you provide. You are responsible for confirming the target host, account, working directory, command, file path, port, tunnel destination, automation scope, and expected effect before execution.
Remote systems may have production data, monitoring, access policies, rate limits, backup requirements, or approval procedures. Porta does not grant authority to use a system and cannot determine whether your action is authorized or safe.
6. Credentials and device security
You are responsible for protecting your device, vault, passwords, private keys, API keys, recovery codes, provider sessions, and remote accounts. Use least privilege, verify host keys, enable device protection, rotate exposed secrets, and remove credentials before transferring or disposing of a device.
Local deletion, account deletion, sign-out, uninstall, and remote revocation are different operations. Perform each operation needed for your risk and remember that operating-system backups or third-party systems may retain copies.
7. Commands, AI, agents, and automation
Generated commands, model responses, agent plans, inferred project context, previews, and automation suggestions may be incorrect, incomplete, insecure, outdated, or destructive. They are assistance, not a guarantee or professional advice.
Review commands and diffs, understand permissions and rollback, maintain backups, use test environments, and obtain required approval before execution. You are responsible for actions you approve or configure, including actions performed on remote machines by third-party models or agents.
8. Third-party services
Porta can connect to identity providers, app stores, SSH hosts, gateways, model APIs, document services, package sources, repositories, and other services that we do not control. Their availability, security, content, billing, retention, and terms are their responsibility.
You are responsible for selecting and configuring providers, obtaining necessary licenses, and complying with their terms. We may remove or change an integration if it creates legal, security, compatibility, or reliability risk.
9. Porta Pro, purchases, and renewals
If paid features are offered, the checkout screen will state the product, price, billing period, whether it is a one-time purchase or auto-renewing subscription, trial terms, taxes, and material limitations. Do not purchase unless those terms are clear to you.
Apple or Google normally processes mobile purchases, cancellations, and refunds. Their store terms and mandatory consumer law apply. Deleting Porta or deleting a Porta account does not by itself cancel an app-store subscription; cancel it in the store before renewal.
Entitlement may require a valid account, store receipt, network verification, and periodic refresh. We may correct an entitlement granted by error, fraud, refund, chargeback, duplicate transaction, or store reversal. We will not remove a valid paid entitlement without a contractual or legal basis.
10. Price changes, refunds, and taxes
Prices and available plans may differ by country, platform, tax, currency, or promotion. For an auto-renewing subscription, a material price change applies only with the notice and consent required by the store and applicable law.
Refund requests for store purchases should be submitted through the store unless Porta expressly provides another process. Nothing in these Terms limits a mandatory cancellation, refund, cooling-off, or consumer-conformity right.
11. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how Porta handles personal information. It is incorporated into these Terms for notice purposes, but consent-based processing remains subject to the choices and withdrawal rights described there.
12. Your content and configuration
You retain rights in your files, commands, prompts, snippets, projects, server content, and configuration. You grant Porta only the limited permission needed to store, display, transmit, transform, or process that content to perform the feature you request.
You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to use and transmit the content. Do not upload or send content that unlawfully exposes personal data, confidential information, trade secrets, or third-party intellectual property.
13. Porta and third-party intellectual property
Porta branding, non-open-source code, interface, documentation, and service content are owned by us or our licensors. Except for rights expressly granted by these Terms or an open-source license, no right is transferred to you.
Third-party names and marks belong to their owners. Integration does not imply sponsorship or endorsement. Dependency notices and license terms remain with the applicable packages.
14. Feedback
If you voluntarily send product feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment to improve Porta, provided we do not claim ownership of your pre-existing confidential material or publicly identify you without permission.
15. Availability, updates, and changes
Porta may change, add, deprecate, or remove features to address security, law, provider changes, maintenance, or product development. Local-first operation does not guarantee that every integration, provider, preview, account, or Pro feature will remain available.
We may release required security or compatibility updates. Continuing to use an unsupported version can create risk or prevent online features from working. Back up important data before updates and do not rely on Porta as the sole copy of critical information.
16. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Porta at any time. Where account services are enabled, you may request account deletion through the available account settings or privacy contact.
We may limit or suspend online services when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, nonpayment, material breach, or service protection. When feasible, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure. Local records on your device are not automatically deleted by service suspension.
17. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Porta and online services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free output, compatibility with every host or provider, preservation of local data, successful recovery, or that generated commands and security recommendations are correct.
Porta is not legal, tax, compliance, investment, safety, or professional security advice. Mandatory warranties and consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain in effect.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses, or for lost profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption, when such loss was not reasonably foreseeable or results from systems and services outside that party’s control.
Our aggregate liability arising from paid Porta services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for those services during the 12 months before the event or US$100. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law or to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other liability that cannot be limited.
19. Business-user responsibility
If you use Porta on behalf of a business, you will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims caused by that organization’s unlawful or unauthorized use, content, or configuration, except to the extent the claim was caused by our breach, negligence, or willful misconduct. This section does not apply to consumers where prohibited by law.
20. Export controls and sanctions
You must comply with applicable trade controls, sanctions, and restrictions on encryption, software, technical data, and services. You may not use, export, or re-export Porta where doing so is prohibited or requires authorization you do not have.
21. Governing law and disputes
Before filing a claim, contact us with a description of the dispute and requested resolution so both sides can attempt good-faith resolution for at least 30 days, unless urgent relief or a statutory deadline requires earlier action.
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction where the operator is domiciled. Consumers retain any mandatory right to use the law or courts of their place of residence.
22. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not assign an account or these Terms without consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of Porta, with legally required notice.
Chinese and English versions are intended to communicate the same rules. If an interpretation differs, the version required by mandatory local law controls; otherwise the Chinese version controls. Section headings are for navigation only.
23. Changes and contact
The version and effective date identify these Terms. Material changes will receive reasonably prominent notice and will not apply retroactively where prohibited. Questions or legal notices may be sent to tryanswer@gmail.com; do not include passwords or private keys.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer or other mandatory law.
